Residential and Dayhab

Family Support at Recoup

Family support plays a crucial role in a client’s successful recovery. At Recoup, we prioritise family involvement by offering comprehensive support, including:

We also provide opportunities for families to visit the treatment centre and participate in select sessions while their loved one is in treatment.

Benefits of Full Residency Treatment

  • 24/7 support from practitioners and peers.
  • A strong recovery community—living with like-minded individuals significantly increases success rates.
  • Development of life skills—clients take on responsibilities such as:
  • Team-based household management (rotas for cooking, cleaning, and chores).
  • Leadership roles, including team leader and newcomer mentor.
  • A structured environment for completing homework, assignments, and attending recovery meetings.

This immersive approach provides the accountability, structure, and peer support essential for early recovery and long-term success.

What to Expect in Residential Treatment

Clients reside in safe, supportive housing and attend the treatment centre six days a week.

Each day includes four structured sessions, including:

  • Morning check-in
  • Group therapy & one-on-one counselling
  • Physical activity
  • Afternoon check-out before returning to residency

Dayhab: A Flexible, Lower-Cost Alternative

Dayhab provides an affordable treatment option for those who do not require full-time residential care. Dayhab clients attend the treatment centre six days a week, participating in the same structured sessions as residential clients while living off-site. To enrol, individuals must reside within commuting distance and arrange their own daily transportation.

Before making a decision, please review the potential advantages and limitations of this treatment option.

Advantages

  • Lower-cost treatment alternative
  • Ability to maintain connections with family and friends in the evenings and weekends (if beneficial to recovery)
  • Access to all therapies without the need for residency

Considerations:

  • 24/7 support is not available from practitioners and peers
  • Lack of continuous peer camaraderie and immersive recovery environment
  • Potential exposure to negative influences who are unaware of addictions complexities

While Dayhab offers flexibility, full residential treatment is often the most effective option, particularly for those needing structured support in early recovery.

Personalised Treatment at Recoup
Each client requires a unique level of care, so we create personalised treatment plans within the Recoup programme, offering residential and dayhab options with flexible, tailored programme lengths for individuals.
The Role of Physical Health in Recovery
At Recoup, we recognise the connection between physical and mental health. Physical health is a key component of our program, promoting overall well-being as part of the recovery process.
For the best chance of long-term recovery, we recommend the full residential treatment programme, where clients live on-site for a minimum of 28 days alongside up to five peers.
